DAYTONA BEACH, FL – (July 17, 2007) – In celebration of its 60th anniversary, Don Bell Signs provided a special Pepsi 400 ticket offer to its customers. A portion of the proceeds from this ticket offer was donated to The Hospice of Volusia/Flagler during a check presentation on Monday, July 16 at 2:00 pm. Gary Bell, Jr. presented a check to The Hospice of Volusia/Flagler in the amount of $1,866.
“I am delighted that the proprietors of Don Bell Signs chose to support the services of The Hospice of Volusia/Flagler. It is the kind and generous support of folks such as these that allow us to go above and beyond to honor the wishes of patients and families on our program who are facing the end-of-life,” said Fran Davis, President and CEO, The Hospice of Volusia/Flagler. “Their support will be recognized with a naming opportunity on our Marcus Moody Memorial Walk which will start construction soon on our Port Orange Care Center campus.”
Part of the funds donated to The Hospice of Volusia/Flagler were raised with a silent auction in the Don Bell Signs Hospitality Chalet on race day. All of the proceeds were donated in honor of Gary Bell, Sr. who succumbed to cancer last year.
“I would like to thank The Hospice of Volusia/Flagler County for everything they have done for the Bell Family,” said Gary Bell, Jr. “Don Bell Signs is grateful to support such a first-class organization that is full of compassion and dedicated medical services. We recognize and truly honor their mission.”
